Favorite Pose: Pincha Mayurasana (peacock or any bird pose!)
Why I Teach: Life is relentlessly chaotic, but our minds don’t have to be. Yoga is the best way I've found to understand that fact. I teach so that I can support my students on a path toward greater mental clarity, resilience, and equanimity. I teach to share the joy of practicing. And, I teach to pass along all the good things yoga has brought to my own life.

Certification: Yava Yoga from Fairfax, VA (mostly based in Iyengar style)
From: Centerville, VA
Favorite Pose: Dancer’s pose, Nataranjasana
Why I Teach: I grew up dancing and yoga became an avenue for me to continue to express that creativity through movement. Yoga has so many connections in our daily lives we might not realize. We learn to listen to our bodies and hearts, while breathing through intense poses or movements and are able to find strength within ourselves. Yoga gives us so many skills on the mat that we are able to translate outside with ourselves and others. It gives me balance and peace of mind, which continues to bring me back to my mat. I hope to be able to share that same love through my teaching!

Favorite Pose: Utpluti Dandasana (floating stick)

Favorite Pose: My favorite yoga pose is probably Supta Baddha Konasana. I love restorative hip openers. Sometimes I nap in this pose!
Why I Teach: As a professional ballet dancer, my day job involves a lot of emphasis on visual aesthetic and technical perfection. I love yoga and sharing the practice of yoga because it is the opposite of that! Everyone's practice is individual and unique, and how you feel is way more important than how you look. It's comforting and kind of magical to be in a space of non-judgement, with everyone breathing and moving together.

Great yoga studio! Great staff and yoga teachers. There are a nice balance of hot, tough and intense classes that Challange the mind and body, to warm, slow and intentional classes that connect the mind, body and soul, and gives me more of a loving and spiritual practice. Facilities are great and you can rent and utilize their mats, block, straps, etc... I highly recommend classes by Cassandra, Tonya, Nan Cathrine and Vedrana.Adrian P.
I can't say enough.. Vedrana and her staff are wonderful! They are so welcoming, helpful and positive. The studio is so clean and beautiful! There are showers and everything you need. I have been enjoying trying all of the different classes offered. You can't help but feel exhilarated after each one. I am still fairly new at the practice. The teachers are always willing to assist and I love that they encourage us to go at our own pace always being mindful that we are all at different levels. It's a safe and judement free zone. I am thrilled and grateful to have this gem near our neck of the woods.Sheri S.
I love this yoga studio! And not just because it is so close to me. The teachers are all fabulous, and I find the class size to be perfect. the class is very personal and attentive, and is extremely supportive in helping with modifications when my joints are not cooperating. The heat setting is warm enough to sweat and feel flexible, but not overwhelming like some hot yoga classes. There is a wide range of intensity between the classes, and I can always find one from early in the morning to late in the evening. The availability of blocks, straps, bolsters and even mats and hand towels is a gracious touch, and it is really a beautiful and calming facility in which to practice and learn. The owners and the staff are welcoming and create a sense of community, and I am looking forward to integrating more and more rather than just "going to class". I highly recommend PowerGlow Yoga for your yoga experience!Rachel S.
Love love love this studio. The instructors are amazing. They instruct with knowledge and provide options for injured parts of the body. They really do care to make it the best experience. The studio provides a relaxing environment. I leave feeling like a new person. Just wish I could get there more. I highly recommend and you will not be disappointed.Diana C.
The Powerflow Yoga team is an amazing group of people. They strive to help everyone progress in their practice no matter how experienced you are. Everyone feels they are getting the attention they need to be the best they can be. The instructors are always changing their routines so each class I have learn something new. When I leave, I feel renewed and stress I may have walked in with is now gone. I also did my first head stand today!! Thanks Vadrana!!David S.
I’ve been to many studios around town and have found my yoga home. I have done some hot yoga in the past, and I was worried that this would make me feel sick like other classes have, however the special dry heating system that usually is only 98 degrees and so and the low humidity make the “hot” an asset. I sweat more than when I run, and it is very cleansing for me to do this on the regular basis. There is a wide variety of classes so I can usually fit three or four in every week even with a super busy schedule. I like the different personalities of the different teachers, and the facilities are some of the nicest I’ve seen - from water bottle fountains to showers to changing rooms they have everything you need. I am probably using up all of their hairbands because I always forget to bring them and i appreciate they always have them there. I’ve also been to some studios that were somewhat preachy, and I appreciate the exact right amount of messaging for me. A little something positive to think about but it’s not the focus of the class or a requirement for the “culture”. I’ve met some really nice people there as well.Caroline B.
My yoga routine with them is not just for my fitness but at this point key to my mental health and my ability do well at my job, be a great mom and live a better life.
I love every class! The instructors are so patient and helpful! It is the perfect place for me to feel comfortable enough to clear my mind and let my body move with no judgement! A place of love and happiness just walking in the door, and chatting after class with wonderful friends! Love it!Meredith H.
I've tried a number of instructors and a number of types of classes at Power Flow and have been beside myself happy with each one. I was skeptical about the HOT aspect, but truly have found it is not an issue as the warm room helps to loosen up the muscles. Each instructor's gentle corrections are welcome and helpful. And the cool lavender towel at the end of the classes makes the hard work worth it.Joelle L.
Always so good. Challenging yet fun and empowering!!!!!!Carey G.
I can't believe how great this place is. Never having done yoga before, I thought I would try it out for a month or two; and now, several months later, I have a yoga studio that is part of my weekly exercise routine. The staff is helpful and encouraging. I like that I don't have to do everything perfectly or at all. I keep hearing the instructors say "You do You" and "If it's in your practice..." meaning if I can't do a certain pose, I don't have to force myself beyond my own comfort level.Stephen P.
It's a fantastic workout at a great place filled with awesome people.
I cannot say enough positive things about this studio. It saved me from a downward spiral into depression. Caring for a loved one with a terminal illness is not easy and I am forever grateful yoga fell into my life. It’s a safe place to restore your mind body and soul. All of the instructors have encouraged and embraced through my journey. Through tears, sweat, strength and encouragement I have pulled myself out of a dark place and have been able to get my life back. Struggles are real and they occur everyday, having a place to go to and get through it with caring like minded folks is a blessing.Kristine M.
Great workout, great music, great instructor. Worth getting up early for!Maggie R.
